Palettes chosen by a Certified Color Expert to guide mood, energy, and calm.
The Art of Slowing Down
Mindful art · every body · no experience needed
A hand-cast ceramic tile, a curated palette,
and a practice that actually calms you down.
Each MetaPainting Kit contains a hand-cast ceramic Mosaic Evolution Tile, a thoughtfully curated color palette, and an invitation to do something genuinely rare: slow all the way down.
The textured tile surface guides your brush. The colors carry the mood. You follow. No outcome to chase, no right or wrong stroke — just the quiet, measurable pleasure of making something beautiful with your hands.

Everything you need
to slow all the way down.
Each kit contains a hand-cast ceramic Mosaic Evolution Tile, a curated palette chosen for its calming color relationships, and everything you need to begin. The textured tile surface guides your brush. There is no wrong stroke — just the quiet, measurable pleasure of making something beautiful.
Shop MetaPainting KitsRhythmic, repetitive mark-making activates the brain's mesolimbic reward pathway, triggering a dopamine release with every brushstroke. Focused creative activity simultaneously lowers cortisol and shifts the nervous system toward parasympathetic rest. That loop — color → brush → tile → reward — is why MetaPainting supports wellbeing across conditions including anxiety, depression, grief, Ménière's Disease, chronic illness, and recovery.
Brush.
Breathe.
Repeat.
MetaPainting found me
when Ménière's Disease
took my balance.
In 2024, I began losing my hearing. The vertigo episodes were massive. The nausea was relentless. Ménière's Disease doesn't ask permission — it just arrives and rearranges everything.
What I needed was a practice that regulated rather than stimulated. Something repetitive. Anchoring. Something that didn't ask my nervous system for more than it had.
MetaPainting was already in my hands — I had been teaching it for years. But living inside a vestibular disorder taught me something I couldn't have learned any other way: this practice works precisely when the body is most unstable.
I share this not for sympathy — but because if you or someone you love is navigating Ménière's, vertigo, chronic illness, or nervous system dysregulation, you deserve to know this tool exists.
What happens in the brain and body during MetaPainting:
Rhythmic mark-making activates the brain's mesolimbic reward pathway — measurable pleasure and calm with every stroke.
Focused creative activity lowers cortisol, shifting the nervous system toward parasympathetic rest.
Seated, tactile, visually bounded — providing grounding sensory input for vestibular dysregulation.
Soft fascination — gentle attention that allows the directed attention system to rest and recover.

MetaPainting Kit Review
It was the perfect slow, cozy afternoon activity.
I gave one of my kits as a birthday present to a friend and she loved it. The other two I brought for me and a friend during a ski weekend. It was the perfect slow, cozy afternoon activity to share conversation and a cup of tea or glass of wine over. I loved the organic feeling of the ceramic and the variety of textures. It made my typically regimented sense of design loosen up and let go.

Session Review
Fun, relaxing, and totally tapped into folks' creative energy
There were many special aspects of this experience, among them the ability to let go of my own inhibitions about getting it right. Together, the women attending created a magnificent shared tile scape. It was fun, relaxing, and totally tapped into folks' creative energy.

Exactly what I needed after a long Monday
"My experience with MetaPainting was exactly what I needed after a long Monday. It was the perfect balance of guided and self-led. Since the blank mosaic canvas was so beautiful, I knew that whatever I added would just enhance the project. I look forward to another MetaPainting soon!"

Ariel made me feel like I couldn't do anything wrong.
Ariel is so sweet. She explained the idea is about calming our bodies and minds, and NOT about being perfect. I am not a creative person, but Ariel made me feel like I couldn't do anything wrong. This is not a paint by numbers activity. It is about mindfulness.

A one-of-a-kind heirloom
Every tile tells a story.
Together, they become art.
Imagine a piece of art on the wall of someone you love — made not by one artist, but by every person who showed up to celebrate them. Each guest paints one hand-cast ceramic tile. Ariel assembles all the tiles into a single, permanent, ready-to-hang mosaic. That’s the Community Mosaic Memento — and there is nothing else like it.
13 hands. One retirement. One permanent piece of art — Nachum, age 92.
One piece of art.
Made by everyone
who was there.
Every tile in this mosaic was painted by a different hand — a different person who loved the same person enough to show up. Ariel assembles every tile into a cohesive, finished artwork that hangs on the wall long after the party ends. It is the only gift in the room that no one could have given alone.
How it works
Each guest receives a hand-cast ceramic tile and a curated palette. They paint during the gathering — no experience needed, no wrong strokes.
After the event, Ariel collects every tile and hand-assembles them into a single, cohesive mosaic artwork — putting all the pieces together.
The finished piece arrives ready to hang — a permanent, one-of-a-kind work made by every hand that was in the room that day.
A 60th birthday. A retirement. A bat mitzvah. A graduation. The people gathered to honor someone create the gift together — and the person of honor takes home something no store could ever sell: art made by the hands of everyone they love.
A team that makes something together leaves differently than one that sat through a presentation. The mosaic becomes a permanent reminder displayed in your office or lobby — of what your people are capable of when they slow down together.
It’s not just art. It’s proof that everyone who mattered was in the room.
Custom-quoted for every gathering.
Pricing is based on guest count, mosaic size, and event format. Most milestone Mementos start around $500 and scale with your group. Corporate and private event packages are available. Every quote includes Ariel’s hands-on assembly and a finished, ready-to-hang piece.
